Privacy for catchMe

catchMe is an app offered by Pocket Computing Laboratories, LLC. We care about making it simple to understand your privacy while sharing your goals with friends.

By using catchMe, you agree to the following privacy policy (and the Terms of Service).

Revisions to this Privacy Policy

Any information that is collected via our Services is covered by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll update the “Last Updated” date above to indicate when those changes become effective.

Collected information

Information you provide directly

Account creation data: When you create an account, we collect your phone number and may collect your email address. You also provide a username, your name, and a profile picture. We also collect your system timezone.

Contact information of others: If you choose to sync your contacts with us, we collect and retain the phone numbers provided.

Content data: We store your post images and captions, post reactions, comments, and goal info (e.g. "Running every Wednesday between 5-7pm") so that your friends may view them.

Information collected automatically

We collect data on app crashes and errors and send debug logs to a third-party service ("Sentry"). Personally-identifiable information is scrubbed.

How we use the information

Operating the services: we use your data to provide the catchMe service, and to provide customer support in relation to the services;

Enforcing our agreements, terms, conditions, and policies, and sending you notices and alerts;

Measurement and Analytics: Measurement of our Services effectiveness including performance of the application (e.g., crashes and causes of crashes), and stability, your usage for recommendations of both accounts and Content.

When we share information about you

Employees of Pocket Computing Laboratories, LLC: To bring our Services to you or provide you support, authorized employees may need to get access to your information.

Service Providers: To bring you our Services we work with a small group of partners who provide us services. This includes partners who help with technical and hosting support, sending notifications, publishing, and sharing content, user analytics and satisfaction surveys, management of security incidents or fraudulent activity, etc. In working with those partners, we may share your information with them to bring you our Services.

Change in Ownership. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, or bankruptcy, Pocket Computing Laboratories, LLC may share, sell or transfer information about you. This Privacy Policy would apply to all transferred information.

Information We Collect (CCPA Required Disclosure)

As we address throughout this Privacy Policy, we collect Personal Data for a range of purposes, though primarily to allow us to provide and improve our services. In the last twelve months, we have collected the following types of Personal Data about our Users. In some cases the data is provided directly by Users. In other cases it was provided by third parties, or obtained through User interaction with our services.

Identifiers, such as your name, email address, IP address, username, or other similar identifiers. We primarily use these identifiers to create your account, maintain security of our services, and communicate with you.

Data Security

We employ a variety of security measures to protect against the unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. These measures include encryption, firewalls, and secure server facilities. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

User Rights

You have certain rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. These may include the rights to access, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data, as well as the right to opt-out of certain uses of your information. To exercise these rights, please contact us through our support page.

International Data Transfer

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Our Services may contain links to other websites not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding our use of your personal information.

Right to Know and Data Portability: As a California resident, you have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months.

Right to Delete: You also have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, provide you a different level or quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
